Hazira India

Hazira Manufacturing Complex (HZMC) was set up in 1985 and has matured into one of the largest heavy manufacturing complexes of its kind across the Globe; this campus is spread over an area of about 750 acres. Hazira is today among the best manufacturing and vertically integrated facility in the world, HZMC showcases a symphony of cutting edge manufacturing technology for the largest and heaviest equipment complemented by the best pool of engineering talent, and skilled manpower eager to take on the challenges to better global benchmarks in size, scale, weight, and complexity.

This state-of-the-art facility is involved in niche technology activities of building Submarine Hulls and to construct ships for the Indian Navy, and for the Coast Guard. This Complex is equipped to undertake pre-manufacturing activities, fabrication, machining, assembly of hull structures; outfitting & system integration of vessels

In addition, a Special Steels and Heavy Forgings facility (JV with NPCIL in PPP mode), which is one of its kind in India, caters to the special steels for Nuclear Power plants, Reactor Pressure vessels  & Defence applications

A new facility, Armoured Systems Complex (ASC) has been built within HZMC as a dedicated facility for Armoured Vehicles. ASC will be fully equipped to manufacture, assemble, machine, integrate and test the fully formed K9 Vajra-T, a Tracked Self Propelled Howitzer being made for the Indian Army. In the future, this facility would also manufacture the Futuristic infantry Combat Vehicle (FICV).

ASC undertakes activities of complex assembly of optics, electronics, mobility systems, hydraulic systems, structural members, precision components, etc. It has multi-disciplinary skills to handle such a variety of systems working together in sync on one tightly integrated platform

The facility conducts integrated functional tests and mobility tests of varied types on state-of-the-art Test Track within the same facility.  ASC will also provide for a training facility for undertaking training of in-house manpower and Army personnel on the product and its sophisticated equipment.
